The
WESTARSchool
for Holistic Therapies provides a thorough and in depth training, to
enable the graduates to practice with confidence, competence and
compassion. The object of the holistic
approach will be stressed at all times. The understanding and care for the
whole person will be considered physically, mentally, emotionally and
spiritually.
Courses
and workshops offered 1.
Diploma in Anatomy/Physiology/Holistic Massage,
a 30 weeks course held in Plymouth, Trelawny Community Centre during 1
working day a week from 10.00 AM until 3.00 PM 2. Diploma Course in Aromatherapy, a 25 weeks course held in Plymouth, Trelawny
Community Centre during 1 working day a week from 10.00 AM until 3.00 PM 3.
Diploma course in Reflexology, a 25 weeks course held in Plymouth, Trelawny
Community Centre during 1 working day a week from 10.00 AM until 3.00 PM 4.
STAR PROGRAM -
PRHT accredited Diploma course The
Star Program is a postgraduate course. Modules can be taken separately. Each module will be certificated and CPD Points awarded Every
Student wanting to gain a Star Program Practitioner Qualification
has to obtain an ITEC or equivalent qualification in
Anatomy&Physiology, Holistic Massage and Business study. The Star Program includes the following Modules Module 1 Star Massage The uniqueness of the STAR
MASSAGE is not only the ability to produce sequences and routines of
massage, no mechanical movements and set routines will be taught. The aim will be a) learn to use your hands as the “TOOLS” with all the
skills that are available b) learn to read the body, feel and “see” what it’s
needs are c) negotiate with the body the best course of treatment Module
2 The Art of
Communication The aim is to acquire good listening
skills, which will assist you as a successful therapist. To understand non verbal communication, especially the body’s own language. Module 3 Understanding
of Nutrition “You
are what and how
you eat”. Only
with a deeper understanding can we give suitable advice to others and help
ourselves. Module 4 Reiki 1 Reiki is a natural energy
activating and non invasive form of healing. In the first stage it is
mainly aimed at promoting self-healing. Reiki 2 Continues with
the energy activating healing, with the aim to use it in treatments and to
give absent healing. Only with a Reiki 2 Certificate will you be allowed
to practice. Achieving a 5pointed star will lead to a Diploma in to
becoming a Star Practitioner. Total
hours of teaching 200 hours over 2 years. Achieving
a 5pointed star will lead to a Diploma in to becoming a Star Practitioner. Any further qualifications i.e. Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Star inversion etc. will be added to the Star Practitioners Diploma, into a six pointed, seven pointed etc Star.

2. Tarot = Introduction into Tarot £ 50 3. Reiki a) Reiki 1 Learning about History of Reiki, Benefits,
Treatments on self, for others, Animals and Plants, Attunement
10 hours £ 50,-- b) Reiki 2 learning 3 powerful symbols and mantras,
ability for absent healing, attunement
20 hours £ 100,-- 4. Introduction
into Aromatherapy, ideal for
people who want to know a little bit more about the essential oils and
want to use it for family and for themselves. Also a good way to find out,
whether Aromatherapy could be part of a carrier.
